Após a partida, o meia-atacante celebrou a realização de um objetivo que perseguia desde sua chegada ao elenco principal. “Felicidade enorme que não cabe no peito. Eu vinha buscando esse gol há muito tempo. Sempre falei com Deus que, na hora certa, com tranquilidade, tudo aconteceria. Com certeza foi um presentão de aniversário pra mim. Fico muito feliz de poder estar ajudando o time com o gol da vitória e é seguir trabalhando porque com certeza as coisas acontecerão aos poucos. É só me manter focado no caminho certo.”
Considerado uma promessa que subiu das categorias de base, Gabriel Mec deu o gol da vitória ao Grêmio, nessa batalha do clube para seguir avançando na tabela desta temporada do Brasileirão. “É o sonho de todo mundo que chega aqui na base. Sempre que eu vinha assistir aos jogos, sempre tentava me imaginar fazendo gol e, com certeza, é um momento inexplicável fazer isso aqui nessa arena lotada, com apoio dessa torcida maravilhosa. É um sonho realizado. Espero que eu possa fazer muito mais”, disse o jovem.

Gabriel Mec experienced one of the most special moments of his career by scoring his first goal as a professional player. The young talent rocked the net during Grêmio’s 1-0 victory over Coritiba in the Campeonato Brasileiro. At just 18 years old, the Grêmio prospect was decisive at the Arena, securing the Tricolor’s victory, on a memorable night.
After the match, the attacking midfielder celebrated achieving a goal he had pursued since joining the main team. “An enormous happiness that doesn’t even fit in my chest. I had been chasing this goal for a long time. I always told God that, at the right time, everything would happen. It was definitely a huge birthday gift for me. I’m very happy to help the team with the winning goal, and now I just have to keep working because things will surely happen little by little. I just need to stay focused on the right path.”
Considered one of the promising talents to rise through Grêmio’s junior team, Gabriel Mec delivered the victory goal as the club continues its battle to climb the Brasileirão table this season. “It’s the dream of everyone who arrives here through the junior team. Whenever I came to watch the games, I always tried to imagine myself scoring, and doing it here in this packed arena, with the support of these amazing fans. It’s truly indescribable.
