O Grêmio anunciou a promoção de cinco jogadores das categorias de base ao elenco profissional, reforçando a estratégia do clube de valorização de jovens talentos. Entre os nomes confirmados está Gabriel Mec, considerado uma das principais promessas da nova geração tricolor.
Além de Mec, também passam a integrar oficialmente o grupo principal o goleiro Gabriel Menegon, o zagueiro Luis Eduardo, o volante Tiaguinho e o meia Roger. Os atletas, todos da geração 2008, já vinham participando de atividades com o time principal e agora são incorporados de forma definitiva ao elenco.
A movimentação faz parte do planejamento do clube para a temporada, ampliando as opções do técnico, reduzindo a necessidade de contratações e evidencia a confiança do clube no trabalho das categorias de base.
No caso de Gabriel Mec, talento que também ascende das categorias de base, o processo foi natural, dado que o jovem estreou como profissional, acumulando convocações para as seleções brasileiras de base, além de despertar interesse no mercado do futebol.

Grêmio promotes Gabriel Mec and five more junior players to the professional team
Grêmio has announced the promotion of five junior athletes to the professional squad, reinforcing the club’s strategy of developing and valuing young talent. Among the confirmed names is Gabriel Mec, regarded as one of the brightest prospects of the new Tricolor generation.
In addition to Mec, goalkeeper Gabriel Menegon, center-back Luis Eduardo, defensive midfielder Tiaguinho, and attacking midfielder Roger have also been officially integrated into their main squad. All born in 2008, the players had already been training with the professional team and are now permanently incorporated into the roster.
The move is part of the club’s planning for the season, expanding the coach’s options, reducing the need for new signings, and highlighting the club’s confidence in its youth development system.
